TRESU’s modular coating systems apply full-surface, spot and line varnishes inline with the latest digital printing presses from leading OEMs. They work with a wide range of UV-curable and water-based coating media, to create gloss, matte, soft-touch and metallic effects. These coating media are specially formulated by TRESU to perform in the unique conditions of the digital line.

 

TWIN coaters, featuring two coating stations in one system, enhance creative branding opportunities by enabling a combination of high-value varnish effects.  For added flexibility, inkjet coating units enable variable application of spot varnish – an ideal choice for variable data applications.

TRESU coating systems come with a host of features to ensure optimum quality and efficiency at up to 5000 sheets / hour, and productivity when managing with short runs. Flexo-based coaters include a patented sleeve system to eliminate ‘bounce’ and achieve precise register at top speeds. Circulators ensure optimum flow characteristics of even the most sensitive media. And setup times are kept to a minimum thanks to automatic chamber cleaning and fast sleeve exchange.

 

Furthermore, with our iCut sleeve cutter, imaging of sleeves for the coater is simple and fast. TRESU’s complete coating programme provides the ideal complement to a lean digital production line for competitively offering short-runs, variable information packaging and test marketing situations. It adds value to a wide range of applications, including pharmaceuticals, media, food and confectionery, cosmetics, consumer electronics, promotional products and gifts.
