The machine is in general built according to European law. Exceptions are specific
demands listed in
• NFPA 79 Electrical standard for Industrial Machinery
• NFPA 86 Standard for ovens and Furnaces,
The European law consists of:
• Directive 2006/42/EEC - Machine Directive
• Directive 2206/95/EEC - Low Voltage Directive
• Directive 2004/108/EEC - EMC Directive
These Directives secure the safety of the “workers” on the machine, by pointing on several
Harmonized Standards. The superior Harmonized Standard for printing Machinery is:
• Pr-EN 1010-1 – Nov. 2003
• Safety requirements for the design and construction
• of printing and paper converting machines
This Standard refers to other Standards, securing safe working on machines, thereby complying with U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Standards
A close co-operation with several Notified Bodies, such as the BG (Federation charged with workers’compensation and associated preventive activities in the workplace in Germany), and TÜV (verifies compliance to respectivesafety quality standards by performing inspections, tests and audits), secures safety machinery according to the law.
The TRESU plant is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 Certified, a registered member of “Green Network”, and construction and production processes are TÜV approved. Additional specific machine approvals by Notified Bodies can be organized.
The customer has the obligation to notify TRESU on his own initiative of local rules, norms, standards or authorities’ orders etc. which are or the customer desires be applicable to the Plant.
